THE ruling ZANU-PF party has hit the ground running in preparation for by-elections set for March this year with Harare province electing provincial executive members.

The election of provincial executive members comes at a time when the revolutionary ZANU-PF party is stepping up preparations for by-elections slated for the 26th of March.

Briefing journalists after the process, ZANU-PF Politburo member Munyaradzi Machacha said the process was smooth with the focus now on selecting candidates for the by-elections.

“We have Cde Godwills Masimirembwa as the chairman, Cde Ratidzo Mukarati as Chairperson of the Women’s League, and Cde Emmanuel Mahachi will lead the youth league. They must make sure they steer the ship forward considering by-elections are imminent and the immediate task is that of candidates’ selection,” said Machacha.

This comes after the ruling party conducted its provincial elections to rejuvenate the party structures ahead of the by-elections and 2023 general elections.
