ZANU PF has come up with tangible programmes that speak to the needs of the country’s citizens and these will propel the party to victory in the forthcoming by-elections.

The programmes were espoused as ZANU PF unleashed its election juggernaut at what has been dubbed the “Mother of all rallies” in Epworth which saw multitudes of the party’s supporters attending.

ZANU PF National Chairperson, Cde Oppah Muchinguri Kashiri told the party members that they should continue encouraging Zimbabweans to vote for the party in their numbers.

“You have seen even before we go to the elections, the promise of unity given by the President. People have become one and are behind the President… Our President is forgiving, he is a listening leader. It is now up to us. To those who won, you do not have to be arrogant, that will divide the people,” she said.

ZANU PF Second Secretary and Vice President, General Retired Constantino Chiwenga told the gathering that unity and discipline are key in the party so as to achieve enormous success.

“The Second Republic led by the astute and visionary leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa has a vision of an upper middle-income society. Through his wisdom, our Father, President Mnangagwa has drawn up programmes that will get the country to Vision 2030. All of us are working for our party, which is greater than all of us. We found the door open, let us all walk in the party that loves the people, a party that loves to build our country. Let us communicate with our people in peace so that we build our nation. We must build our country in peace and unity,” said Vice President Chiwenga.

All 28 candidates representing the party were paraded to the electorate and party leadership. Six other political parties are participating in the 26th of March by-elections.
