THE Second Republic’s developmental agenda has charmed ZANU PF youth league affiliate organisations who have pledged to embark on a massive party mobilisation drive ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
Youths under the banner Varakashi 4 ED Zim Cyber Team converged in Harare this Saturday to drum up support for President Emmerson Mnangagwa ahead of the 2023 harmonised elections.
The programme started with the youths touring exhibitions highlighting developmental projects which have taken place since the inception of the Second Republic.
The projects charmed youths drawn from various ZANU PF Youth League affiliates who pledged their support for the revolutionary party, come 2023.
“As youths, we are very excited about the works being done by the Second Republic and we say President Emmerson Mnangagwa has our vote come 2023,” said a youth.
Affirmative Action Group representative, Anastacia Ndlovu donated a mining claim to Varakashi 4 ED in support of youth empowerment programmes.
“We have seen it fit to donate the mining claim to Varakashi so that they can empower other youths. This is line with our pledge to support His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa,” she said.
Varakashi 4 ED leader Cde Jones Musara and newly-elected ZANU PF Deputy Secretary for Youth Affairs Cde John Paradza implored youths to vote for Zanu PF in the 2023 elections.
“We are encouraging youths to desist from all forms of violence and focus on development and also remember to register and vote” saidCde Paradza.
Some of the projects that were on display include the statue of Mbuya Nehanda, new Parliament building, Gwayi Shangani Lake, road rehabilitation works and the fruits of the Second Republic’s engagement and re-engagement drive.
The initiative is expected to be replicated in all the country’s provinces, with Varakashi 4 ED showcasing President Mnangagwa’s milestones since taking over the reigns.
