Young Chevrons ignite hope ahead of world cup

Zimbabwe Under 19 cricket team has ignited hope among cricket faithfuls after impressive performances in a series which ended with a win over New Zealand on Thursday.
It is just over a week to go before 2020 under 19 Cricket World Cup explodes into life in South Africa.
With the junior cricket extravaganza just around the corner, Zimbabwe’s Young Chevrons have a spring in their step after upsetting South Africa and New Zealand in a Quadrangular series which ended on Thursday.
The Young Chevrons overcame South Africa by 31 runs on Tuesday and Thursday marked another important performance by Zimbabwe under 19 side which got the better of New Zealand by 2 wickets.
The side appears in the right frame of mind ahead of 2020 under 19 cricket extravaganza despite having had minimal preparations.
Victories against South Africa and New Zealand are expected to serve as morale boosters ahead of the World Cup.
Zimbabwe start their World Cup campaign against Bangladesh on the 18th of this month at the JB Marks Oval in Potchefstroom.
Zimbabwe is in pool C alongside Bangladesh, Pakistan and Scotland.
