The body of the late former CAPS United and Warriors left back, Charles Yohane, who died in South Africa two weeks ago has been repatriated.

Yohane was murdered in cold blood in Soweto, South Africa on the 12th of this month and his body was discovered two days later.

A legend back home and in South Africa where he holds the record for the most appearances for Wits University, Yohane’s body was welcomed at the Robert Mugabe International Airport by family and former teammates.

A quiet man according to his family and friends, Yohane will be fondly remembered for his contribution to the nation team and he will remain in Warriors folklore after providing the first assist for Zimbabwe at AFCON 2004.

The left footed maestro Yohane, who was part of the trail blazing CAPS United team of 1996, fulfilled a family ambition after becoming a professional footballer.

Yohane’s body will lie in state at the family home at number 30 Makiyoni Street, Mbare National, before burial set for Zororo Memorial Park this Saturday.
