Women Super League match-day 13

HERENTALS Queens are still in with a shot in the Women Super league title race after taking over pole position with a two-nil victory over Yadah Queens at the weekend.

The title race in the Women’s super league is turning out to be a three-horse race between Herentals, Black Rhinos and Chapungu.

Match-day 13 saw Herentals Queens taking over pole position courtesy of a 2-nil victory over Yadah Queens, with Melanda Rungu and Praynance Zvawanda on the scoresheet.

Herentals are now a point ahead of defending champions Black Rhinos Queens who have 30 points and a game in hand.

The defending champions also won 2-nil over Chipembere Queens.

Elsewhere, Air Force of Zimbabwe side, Chapungu beat Faith Drive Academy by the same scoreline to remain third with 27 points although they have two games in hand.

Correctional Queens complete the top four with 21 points after edging Black Mambas 2-1.

Harare City and Faith drive are tied on 15 points, while Black Mambas have 14 and Yadah Queens 12 point to complete the top eight.

The bottom four remains occupied by Borrow Jets and Scorpion Queens with six points each, Chipembere Queens on 3 points and Mutare City Rovers with a point.
