UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin, who is currently in Zimbabwe with his family, has visited the Great Zimbabwe Monuments in Masvingo.
Mr Ceferin, who went up the hill complex before touring the Great Enclosure, was briefed on the history of the monuments.
The UEFA President says he will encourage other nationals from Europe to visit Zimbabwe, describing it as a beautiful country with friendly people who love football.
“Many people in Europe and around the world don’t know how much history has Zimbabwe, the friendly people and beautiful nature, people love football which is also a great thing for me,’ Caferin said.
“When I go back I will recommend everybody to go to Zimbabwe,” he added.
Turning to football matters, Mr Ceferin says putting in place the right governance policies is critical, indicating that he will have conversations with relevant authorities on how best football can be developed in the country and Africa at large.
