The national chiefs’ council has endorsed the outcome of last week’s indaba between the President Emmerson Mnangagwa and traditional leaders from Matabeleland that Gukurahundi issues be handled by chiefs.
In a media briefing after the deliberations the Minister of Local Government, Cde July Moyo said the thirty-six-member council agreed to work with government in handling the Gukurahundi issues that include exhumations and reburial of the remains of victims of the 1980s disturbances.
