Outgoing Namibian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Balbina Daes Piennar has hailed the strong bond that exists between the two countries, which culminated in a Bi-National Commission.
The two countries have strong ties with Zimbabwe playing a prominent role in helping Namibia attain independence in 1990.
The two countries have also signed Memoranda of understanding to strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation and promote economic growth as well as sustainable development.
This Wednesday, Namibia’s top diplomat to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Balbina Daes Piennar who is heading back home after concluding a seven-year tour of duty, bade farewell to President Emmerson Mnangagwa at State House.

Zimbabwe is leasing a dry port facility at Walvis Bay which provides a strategic and cheaper route for the country to the Atlantic Ocean.
