VP Chiwenga in Egypt for the Africa Health ExCon

VICE President General Retired Dr Constantino Chiwenga who is also the Minister of Health and Child Care is in Cairo, Egypt for the first edition of the Africa Health ExCon which will run from the 5th to the 7th of June.

The first ever Africa Health ExCon which is the biggest medical exhibition conference on the continent will see the participation of over 2 000 delegates representing government health entities from Africa and the Middle East.

Zimbabwe’s delegation is being led by Vice President General Retired Dr Constantino Chiwenga who is also the Minister of Health and Child Care.

“The purpose of our visit is to come and attend a medical conference which will be opened by the Present of Egypt, His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Besides that I will be on the panel of discussions where a number of issues will be discussed.

“We will also have an opportunity to discuss on a number of issues ranging from COVID-19 and what we should do as developing countries to address our medical situation in our countries. There are also a lot of pharmaceutical companies which will be exhibiting,” he said.

Companies operating in more than 102 countries will take part in the conference, unveiling the latest medical technologies and outlining the best practices for sustainable health care on the continent.
