VP Chiwenga applauds India for continued support to Africa

Vice President General Retired Dr Constantino Chiwenga who is also the Minister of health and Child Care,has applauded India for the support it continues to render to Africa in various facets of the health sector.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Indian Industry Exim Bank Conclave on India-Africa project Vice President Chiwenga commended the existing relations between the South Asian country and the Africa continent.

He added that the India-Africa partnership provides a platform for sharing ideas on technological advancement in the health care sector particularly in the face of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

With Zimbabwe on the drive to rejuvenate the pharmaceutical sector; the African continent has been urged to support research and development in non-communicable diseases which continue to claim lives across the continent.

The India-Africa partnership provides opportunities between the South-Asian country and Africa in areas of investment, infrastructure and skills development among others.
