Volleyball: Zim Open qualifiers set for Bulawayo this Saturday

The Bulawayo Volleyball Association is gearing up for the regional Zimbabwe Open Qualifiers set for this Saturday, with the organisers putting in place the prescribed safety measures.

Bulawayo Volleyball Association Chairperson William Mazviro says the foot is on the pedal to ensure the safety of players and officials.

“As a provincial body we have been waiting for this moment, we have put in place all the requirements needed for the games to start. We are hoping for an explosive weekend as 5 teams will be gunning for the top sport,” Mazviro said.

Mazviro further highlighted that Bulawayo Metropolitan Province has also assembled strong teams that will participate at the National Beach Volleyball series set for Birchnough bridge this Saturday.

“We have assembled two squads that will go to Birchenough bridge for the national series of beach Volleyball. the squads have been preparing very well and we are hoping that they will leave an indelible mark.”

The Zimbabwe Volleyball Association (ZVA) is placing emphasis on growing its brand to attract fans and corporate partners.
