Entrepreneur and United States of America Ambassador of music and arts, Roberts ‘Kool’ Bell has expressed optimism about the positive prospects of the country’s tourism capital, Victoria Falls.
The founding member of the legendary R&B group, Kool and the Gang, who visited the popular Victoria Falls Rainforest this Saturday, is convinced the resort city has a lot of potential and has expressed readiness to assist in marketing the destination in America.
Bell, who is also a music ambassador for tourism to Ivory Coast, believes Zimbabwe can boost arrivals into the destination and tourism earnings by targeting the Afro-Americans in the United States.
“It is cool to come to Zimbabwe and it is even cooler to come to Victoria Falls. Definitely you would want to be an ambassador of such a great country and a great people,” said Bell.
As part of efforts to unlock the potential of the destination, the renowned artist confirmed he will be working closely with a local studio to make use of music in marketing the resort city.
Steady Munyanyi, Chairman of Diamond Studios, said, “To promote Victoria Falls we are going to be coming down here to do our videos with our artists, the artists whom we will be pushing to the world.”
United States, South Africa, Australia and United Kingdom are some of Zimbabwe’s major tourists’ source markets.
Bell and his team are convinced that the jaw-dropping Victoria Falls is a symbol of peace and resonates with their latest inspirational single “Pursuit of Happiness,” which was released in December last year.
The song calls for all people around the world to live together in peace, love and harmony.
