EIGHT Zimbabwean junior tennis players will represent the country at the African junior championships set for Togo next month.

After winning the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and the Confederation of African Tennis Southern African games held in Namibia last year, the under 14 Zimbabwean girls’ team has set its sights on the African Junior Tennis Championships set for Lome in Togo from the 6th of next month.

So the future looks bright for junior tennis,” he said.

“From the national association point of view, we have a number of events lined up. This coming April we have six ITF tournaments coming up in Bulawayo where all our local players are expected to feature and improve their rankings.”
