TRADITIONAL healers have responded to Government’s call to get vaccinated for the country to reach herd immunity.
Realising their vulnerability to COVID-19 due to the nature of their jobs, traditional healers have joined in the vaccination drive, calling on all Zimbabweans to get vaccinated and protect themselves from the deadly virus.
Famous Chitungwiza traditional healer, Sekuru Amos Kafera and his colleagues from the area got their first jab this Monday at Seke South clinic.
We are traditional healers we know a lot of herbs but it is important to also get vaccinated so that we protect ourselves, our families and our clients so I urge other traditional healers to follow suit,” he said.
“We interact with a lot of people on a daily basis, hence it is important for us at traditional healers to get vaccinated,” said another traditional healer.
Three hundred and 36 thousand 600 people have so far been vaccinated against the virus, which has claimed one thousand 557 lives out of 38 thousand and 86 cases.
The number of recoveries is 35 thousand 123.
