Three cattle rustlers nabbed

A herd of 37 cattle has been recovered after three suspected cattle rustlers were arrested in Chiredzi.

Admire Magwaza aged (40), Bernard Museki (30) and Ephraim Madausipo (47) from Chiredzi appeared in court facing charges of stock theft after they allegedly stole 37 cattle from Kenneth Dhirizwa at Buffalo Range compound in Chiredzi.

The court heard that on the 7th of January this year, the Zimbabwe Republic Police got information that one of the accused persons, Museki, who is employed as a herd boy at Horsevale farm was selling cattle.

Police investigated the matter before apprehending the accused at ShinePlus turn off along the Ngundu -Tanganda highway.

The suspect allegedly led the police to a makeshift kraal near Chiredzi Cottco depot, where 37 cattle valued at four million Zimbabwe Dollars were recovered.

After the recovery of the cattle, police arrested the other two accused persons, Magwaza and Madausipo in connection with the case. The trio was remanded in custody to the 21st of this month
