Ten people shot dead in Buffalo, USA

TEN people have been shot dead in a suspected racially motivated shooting in the New York State of the United States.

Reports say an 18-year-old man was arrested after opening fire in a supermarket in the city of Buffalo.

The suspect is also reported to have shouted racial slurs during the shooting and apparently posted a manifesto online which included racist language and ideas.

The suspect is believed to have driven for some 200 miles to reach the area where the residents are predominantly black.

Buffalo Police Commissioner Joseph Gramaglia confirmed that a total of 13 people were shot, with the majority of the victims being black.
