Former Triangle Coach Taurai Mangwiro has been unveiled as the Harare City substantive coach ahead of the resumption of domestic football next month.
The former Dynamos player takes over from Tarisai Kaseke who was holding fort after Lloyd Chitembwe re-joined Caps United at the end of last year.
“I wouldn’t want to dwell much in short term because I feel we should look at a broader picture. Ours is to develop and nature talent, when we look at the hood, the team is Harare City of course we won’t restrict ourselves only to players of City but we want residents to benefit a lot from the structure that we are going to put in place in both men and women that is our vision going forward,” said Mangwiro.
Mangwiro is back at the club where he won his first silverware as a Coach after leading Harare City to Chibuku Super Cup glory in 2015.
He also won the Chibuku Super Cup in 2018 with Triangle United.
Meanwhile, 2017 Soccer Star of the Year Rodwell Chinyengetere has joined CAPS United after the expiry of his contract with FC Platinum.
Herentals have also been active on the market bringing in centre forward John Zhuwawu from CAPS United and midfielder Ali Maliselo from Dynamos while midfielder Edgar Mhungu returns to the club.
