TWO suspected rapists and armed robbers who allegedly stabbed some of their victims before robbing them have appeared in court.

McDonald Mutarangani Hukuimwe(32) and Trymore Nkomazana(28) appeared in court facing seven counts of armed robbery and one count of rape.

Allegations are that, armed with knives and pretending to be passengers, the pair threatened to stab their victims demanding valuables.

The court heard that in other instances they stabbed victims and at times smashed cars and deflated tyres.

It is alleged that they took turns to rape one of their female victims before robbing her.

They were remanded in custody to next month and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old boy who allegedly raped his 12 year old cousin in a bush has appeared in court facing charges of rape.

It is alleged that the boy waylaid the girl and dragged her to a bush where he threatened to stab her with a knife before raping her once.

The matter came to light after the girl’s mother noticed a change of behaviour in the victim.

The boy has been released into his father’s custody and remanded to next month while awaiting trial.
