FC Platinum fans are confident of handing unbeaten log leaders Highlanders their first defeat of the season in a blockbuster Castle Lager Premier Soccer League encounter at Mandava Stadium this Saturday.

The reverse fixture at Barbourfields Stadium in April was one of the most attended matches this season, with official figures showing that more than 15 000 fans paid to watch the match.

Highlanders walked away 2-1 victors that Sunday afternoon and up to now they have gone for 19 matches without defeat.

However, FC Platinum fans are adamant that they will hand Highlanders their first defeat of the season.

Another added, “We have no choice but to win, we have dropped a lot of points saka if we beat them takutodzora gap so it’s a definite win.”

“Mangwana iparty ku Mandava, Bosso inofa we are going to win and cut the gap.” Another fan added.

Highlanders’ fans who are planning the traditional Bosso Roadshow, where they travel as a convoy are hoping to continue with the carnival atmosphere at Mandava Stadium.

“We are going there to put the final nail in the coffin, just like we did at BF, it will be two out of two,” said one of Highlanders fans.

Another added, “We want another win, the match against FC Platinum will be tight but we will win.”

Highlanders are on top of the log with 41 points while defending champions FC Platinum lie ninth, a massive 14 points behind Bosso.
