Security forces to stand firm in defence of national interests

STATE Security Minister, Honourable Owen Ncube, has assured the nation that the security services are alive to the machinations of agents of regime change.
Briefing the media in Harare this Monday, Minister Ncube said Zimbabwe’s security and stability is currently under siege from a number of threats being instigated by internal and external actors.
He, however, reassured the nation that the security sector is firmly on the guard.
“We want to reassure citizens that the state security sector is alive to machinations of the MDC alliance, hostile CSOs and their Western handlers. Our gallant security men and women will stand firm in defence of national interests,” he said.
Minister Ncube had no kind words for those who want to fuel divisions within government.
“They have gone to the extent of lying that there is a fall out between President Mnangagwa and Vice President Dr Chiwenga. They also attempted to cause Western countries, the SADC and Churches to turn against the government,” he said.
Those who are dreaming of taking over the reigns before 2023 have also been warned that there is no vacancy at the State House.
“Anyone aspiring to lead the country should wait for 2023.”
Efforts by some self-exiled G-40 elements to destabilise the security services also came under the spotlight.
