RETURNING and newcomer pupils observed COVID-19 regulations as the 2022 academic year finally began this Monday after a pandemic-induced delay.
Some not-so-early birds had to finish dressing up by the school gate.
Selfies and videos were the order of the day as parents dropped off their younger ones for their first day at school.
For other parents, their wish is for lessons not to be interrupted.
“I am excited as my son has started grade one today and I am capturing every moment. My prayer is the government ensures that this term is not interrupted and it goes on smoothly,” said an excited parent.
