After Keeping her fans guessing for several weeks, Songstress Sandra Ndebele has finally dropped a single which is accompanied by stunning visuals from her latest album which she launched online last week.
The multi-talented artist known for her hit track “Mama” released in 2003 says the single titled “Usabvume” was inspired by the need to encourage people to be go-getters in life.
“With “Usabvume” visuals I am saying no matter what people say to you follow your heart. Do things for you first. I remember people used to judge me. No matter what people say to you follow your heart. Do things for yourself first if you want to be happy.”
Sandy takes us through how she has managed to stay relevant in the music industry for the past 17 years.
“The journey started in 2003 when I was a young girl. As female musicians, we have a lot of challenges. For me to compete with young artists I have to keep revolving.”
Her latest album, ‘Up the Ladder’ is an eight-track compilation which features other artists such as Mzoe7, Jeys Marabini, Tocky Vibes and the group Iyasa.
