THE Sables have made nine changes for their second Rugby Africa Cup Pool D encounter against Burkina Faso this Thursday.
After trouncing Burkina Faso by a cricket scoreline, the Sables technical team have rung changes as they continue to test the depth of the squad.
The biggest change sees captain Hilton Mudariki dropping to the bench for Dudley Sharply, with Brendan Mandivenga set to lead the side from full back.
There is only one change in the front-row with Royal Mwale replacing Deanne Makoni at hooker, while the locks remain unchanged from the last game.
There will be a completely new loose trio with Godfrey Muzanango, Tonderai Chawambutsa and Aiden Burnett coming back to add a bit of experience to the side.
With the captain dropping out there will also be a completely new half back pairing as Dudley Sharply partners Riaan Oneal in the engine room.
In midfield, Takudzwa Chieza comes back to partner veteran Shayne Makombe with Brendon Mudzekenyedzi moving to wing while Brendan Mandivenga will provide creativity from the back.
With the Sables clearly dominating the Stallions in the first encounter, more of the same is expected especially with a bit more experience being added to the backline.
Their win on Saturday was only the third time the senior team has posted 100 points since 1990 and if they are to repeat the feat then they will enter the history books for scoring back to back hundreds.
We need to stick to our structure and many people get carried away after scoring so much but then that’s when you can be deflated so we need to keep focus and know what we want to achieve, said Sables Coach Brendan Dawson
The match kicks off at 2pm at an empty Old Georgians sports club.
However, fans can follow the proceedings online.
