ZANU PF Vice President and Second Secretary, Cde Kembo Mohadi says the ruling party is impressed by the strides made by the party’s Midlands provincial leadership in improving livelihoods through various empowerment programmes.
Cde Mohadi met the ZANU PF Midlands provincial leadership in Gweru this Thursday and spoke on how various empowerment programmes being spearheaded by the party are benefiting ordinary citizens.
I must say am quite impressed by what the people in this province are doing for us to attain the five million votes by 2023. The strategy is very impressive though it remains an in-house project. I am also impressed by the development road map adopted by the province. I was briefed on the Road rehabilitation programme. After the rains H.E declared a state of disaster. All authorities are seized with rehabilitation of roads. It’s also work in progress in urban areas. I am told that government is now correcting the wrongs that were done by local authorities in terms of service delivery,he said.
Cde Mohadi however expressed concern over the upsurge in COVID-19 cases in the province, calling for strict adherence to safety guidelines announced by government.
I have been briefed on the COVID-19 situation in this province and I must say statistics are shocking. I am told 305 have already succumbed to the pandemic in the province.. The pandemic is upon us and as such we need to be vigilant,he added.
Cde Mohadi is on a nationwide tour to assess the people’s needs at grassroots level as the party focuses on mobilising the electorate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
