TWO Harare teenagers have been charged with murder and robbery after they allegedly killed the victim they had robbed of cash and a mobile phone last week.

The two teenagers and their 20-year-old accomplice allegedly fatally assaulted their victim by hitting him with a brick, rendering him unconscious.

The 17-year-old boy, 19-year-old Stride Jambo and Brian Huche, aged 20, appeared before a Harare magistrate, Mrs Yeukai Dzuda facing murder charges.

It is alleged that the three attacked the victim who was on his way home and it was after the victim showed resistance that he was fatally assaulted using a brick.

The victim succumbed to the injuries a few days later, leading to the accused person’s arrest.

Meanwhile, a Harare man who allegedly defrauded an unsuspecting victim of US$10 000 in a botched car deal has been arraigned before a Harare court.

Innocent Mavhuto was facing fraud charges when he appeared in court.

The court heard that the complainant paid for the car but the accused became evasive and failed to meet the end of the bargain.

The complainant reported the matter to the police leading to the accused person’s arrest.
