Rautenbach in top four at Dakar Rally

Conrad Rautenbach cemented his position as the country’s top rally driver after a top-four finish at the just ended Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia this Friday, while biker Graeme Sharp has achieved his target of finishing the race on a motorbike.
Rautenbach and his Portuguese navigator, Pedro Bianchi Prata crossed the finish line in the final stage 12 of the world’s toughest race on position 7 in a time of 1hour 42 minutes and 1 second to earn an overall 4th place finish.
On the other hand, biker Graeme Sharp has carved his own piece of history by becoming the first Zimbabwean to finish the Dakar Rally on a motorbike.
Despite the difficult terrains and sand dunes, Sharp went through all the 12 stages of the gruelling race and successfully realised his dream.
Sharp ended stage 12 of the tough race in position 83 in a time of 2 hours 16 minutes 43seconds.
For his efforts, Sharp earned himself an overall 74th position finish
