PSL returns

The Premier Soccer League returns this afternoon with Yadah hosting Whawha at the National Sports Stadium after a break to pave way for the Chibuku Super Cup.

Eleventh-placed Yadah who have been slowly escaping the relegation zone will be keen to compound more misery on bottom-placed Whawha when the two teams clash this afternoon.

Yadah is undefeated in their last six encounters, while Whawha is smarting from a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Caps United.

A victory for Yadah will see them moving into the top ten, while for Whawha three points will ensure they move from the foot of the log.

Elsewhere, second-placed Dynamos travel to Vhengere stadium in Rusape to take on second from bottom Tenax this Sunday.

The Glamour Boys are back to winning ways after struggling in recent matches and take on a Tenax side desperate for three points.

What adds to the sub plot is that Dynamos has generally struggled at Vhengere stadium even going back to the days of Dongo Sawmills.

It is a difficult ground not just for us, but for most teams. We are hoping that the preparations that we have done are good enough as we trained at a pitch almost similar to what we are going to be playing on, but we are ready and we hope the break hasn’t killed our rhythm,” said Tonderai Ndiraya – Dynamos coach.

After a mini stumble, Dynamos appear to be back to their best as they drew against log leaders FC Platinum before thumping Chicken Inn and Bulawayo Chiefs in their last three matches, while Tenax is coming from a moral boosting draw against Highlanders away from home.

However before that, Chicken Inn take on Harare City hoping to return to winning ways after losing steam in recent matches, while Cranborne Bullets will be aiming to shoot down Ngezi Platinum Stars at Vhengere stadium this Saturday.

Herentals is up against Highlanders that is looking to win away from hone for the first time this season.

Action continues on Sunday with Triangle hosting Manica Diamonds at Gibbo stadium, Bulawayo Chiefs battles ZPC Kariba at Luveve stadium, while Caps United clash with Bulawayo City at the National Sports Stadium.
