Professor Welshman Ncube’s party rocked by indiscipline

CHAOS is reigning supreme in the opposition Movement for Democratic Change led by Professor Welshman Ncube, following the expulsion of three senior members for alleged disciplinary issues.
The three expelled members are Christopher Monera (Secretary for Policy and Research), Shupikai Mandaza (Vice Chairperson) and Munhangu Musevenzo (Secretary for Training and Political Education).
MDC spokesperson Mr Kurauone Chihwayi confirmed the authenticity of the expulsion letters that started making rounds on social media platform this Saturday morning.
“The three Monera, Mandaza and Musevenzo are no longer part of the MDC,” he said.
According to the expulsion letters signed by the party’s MDC National disciplinary committee chairperson, Faroah Jele, the trio is accused of failure to attend disciplinary hearings.
However, Mandaza has rubbished his expulsion, claiming to be the interim leader of the party and that Professor Welshman Ncube is the one who had actually expelled himself from the party.
The MDC formation was part of the equally troubled MDC Alliance, which is rocked by continuous defections.
