The meeting between President Emmerson Mnangagwa and civic society organisations to discuss issues affecting the Matabeleland region is underway at State House in Bulawayo this Saturday.
The President is holding a closed-door meeting with two groups led by Matabeleland Collective Coordinator Mrs Jenny William’s and another by Bulawayo Mayor Solomon Mguni as part of efforts to strengthen dialogue between the government and various stakeholders.
The meeting which is the third such dialogue is meant to assess progress made so far since the inception of the talks.
In her welcome remarks, Bulawayo Minister of State Honourable Judith Ncube said the meetings testify that the President is a listening leader.
Cde Ncube expressed confidence that such a dialogue will help in achieving a national vision.
She thanked the government for its continued efforts in addressing water issues facing the province.
Meanwhile, outcomes of the deliberations will be presented at the end of the meetings.
