THE Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) is set to construct a modern secondary school in Guruve North as part of its national community outreach programme.

The Political Actors Dialogue (POLAD) is mobilising resources for construction of a modern school at Kadzimwenje in Guruve.

Representatives from several political parties visited the site for the school and the nearby Kadzimwenje Primary School.

“As political leaders, we are working hand in hand with government to ensure there is national development so we are here in Guruve north in Mashonaland central where we are being shown the site of a new school that we have adopted.

“The school is Kadzimwenje secondary school but it’s just 200 metres from a primary school we also intend to support,” said Kwanele Hlabangana, the Secretary General Polad Community National Outreach Program.

“We are committing ourselves to assist in the construction of the school and Zanu PF being one of the parties in Polad fully supports this program which we think we can take to all provinces and other districts.”

The forum also rendered support to Kadzimwenje Primary School, with Polad National Coordinator, Welcome Shumba highlighting more support will be provided to address several challenges facing the school.

“Here we found out children were learning sitting on the floor so we brought plenty of furniture, since the school was started they had nowhere to sit.”

The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education and parents are confident that the support will enhance education in the area.

“As ministry of primary and secondary education we are happy with the support which we have received.”

All principals in Polad have pledged to ensure the outreach programme is rolled out in all provinces after it was launched at Mbembeswana primary school in Matebeleland North followed by Chomunyaka primary school in Mberengwa.
