MALAWI-BASED local football coach Callisto Pasuwa is on fire after his Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi beat AmaZulu 1-0 in South Africa to secure a first-leg advantage in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
The Former Warriors and Dynamos coach is on the continental map as the Zimbabwean gaffer is propelling Nyasa Big Bullets of Malawi to dizzy heights.
Having led Dynamos to win four consecutive league titles from 2011 to 2014, Pasuwa went on to lead the Warriors and qualified for the 2017 African Cup of Nation (AFCON).
Pasuwa then sealed his place in the Dynamos Hall of Fame and in local football books and is rated as one of the best coaches in the country.
Currently, he is only few matches away to clinch the third consecutive TNM Super league title for the People’s team.
Meanwhile, the Big Bullets secured their first-leg advantage over AmaZulu after a 1-0 win in South Africa in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
Making their third appearance of the tournament and meeting McCarthy’s men for the first time, Bullets got their goal in the 36th minute after a defensive mix-up in the Usuthu box.
Although the visitors were reduced to ten men after Yamikani Fodya was booked a red card, Pasuwa’s charges remained disciplined at the back for the remainder of the game and managed to contain all of AmaZulu’s threats and dominance.
The two teams clash for the second leg in Blantyre on 18th of this month.
Zimbabwean football lovers’ eyes are set in the Warm Heart of Africa, as Pasuwa is warming the bleeding hearts from Warriors poor show.
