Ovidy Karuru joins Stellenbosch

Warriors midfielder Ovidy Karuru has been unveiled by South African topflight side Stellenbosch FC after moving from Amazulu at the end of last month.

Zimbabwe’s vice-captain Ovidy Karuru has begun life in Cape Town where he will be turning out for Stellenbosch after becoming the 3rd player to be signed in January transfer window by the team.

The Zimbabwean international, who spent just under three years at Usuthu, was about to enter the final six months of his contract with the KwaZulu-Natal outfit before parting ways.
Karuru was released by AmaZulu in December last year, He was quickly snapped up by Stellenbosch who unveiled the Warriors’ midfielder on Tuesday.

Karuru has had stints in Zimbabwe where he was part of the Gunners championship-winning side in 2009 before moving to France.

Karuru also spent some time out in France and Belgium before settling in South Africa where he began with a stint at Kaizer Chiefs before moving to Amazulu and now Stellenbosch.

Karuru made 59 appearances for Amazulu scoring six goals.
