THE National Social Security Authority has handed over copies of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s biography titled, “A Life of Sacrifice” to some Schools in Masvingo.

This was done as part of efforts to inculcate the culture of reading and inspire young people on the importance of loyalty.

The biography chronicles President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s history before and after independence.

Handing over the books in Masvingo, NSSA General Manager Mr Arthur Manase said President Mnangagwa’s biography provides a good read to future leaders.

An educated population is a giant step towards providing social protection to a country’s inhabitants and the starting point is nurturing a reading culture among our young generation. I consider this a privilege to the young generation who are benefiting from having access to the history of a living Hero,” he said.

Accepting the donation on behalf of the beneficiaries, schools representative Mr Engelbert Chimbwari thanked NSSA saying the book will go a long way in educating young people about Zimbabwe’s history.

We really appreciate this gesture by NSSA, however as school authorities let’s come up with ideas of ensuring every school including those in rural communities have access to this important piece of history,” said Chimbwari.

“A life of Sacrifice” chronicles President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s history dating back to the pre-independence era and was authored with the aim of developing a shared vision and understanding of his life including the foundation of his political career.
