THE ZIFA Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) has wrapped up a partnership deal which will see the best coach of the month and year being awarded.
With teams battling for the top gong in the ZIFA Northern Region Division One League, coaches will be also be eyeing at the monthly accolade for the best coach following the arrival of a new partner in the second-tier league.
The three-year marriage is going to see the league receiving over US$5 000 for the coaches.
“We are quite happy with the strides that we are making in the growth and development of the league,” said Martin Kweza, NRSL Chairman.
“We are not done yet as we are working day and night to partner other companies so that our game will be competitive and attractive. Overally we are happy with this new marriage.”
“We are very much pleased to have partnered this football league we understand this game has a lot of followers and we want to grow with them with the provision of extending our partnership when the initial agreement lapses,” said Brighton Fakamari Anzaequip Marketing and Operations Director.
The deal comes in a season where the league has tried and tested gaffers in the local game including Arthur Tutani of Simba Bhora, Lloyd Chigowe of Grain Tigers, Joel Luphahla of Golden Eagles and Tapera Mafuta of Blue Swallows.
The region has been recognising coaches at the end of every season and the coming on board of these partners is a shot in the arm as it is likely to increase the competitiveness of the league.
