Ngezi Platinum Stars got the Platinum bragging rights after beating FC Platinum 1-0 in a premier soccer league match played at Mandava Stadium.

Platinum Derby lived up to its billing after the visiting side came away with a win courtesy of an early second half strike by attacking midfielder, Mcdonald Makuwe.

The defeat leaves the home side reeling after struggling to notch wins this season.

In other matches, Dynamos made it three wins in a role after beating ZPC Kariba 2-0 at the National Sports Stadium, while log leaders Chicken inn had to come from behind to dismiss Black Rhinos 2-1 at Luveve Stadium.

Struggling sides Yadah and Bulawayo City could not be separated at the end of the 90 minutes after playing out to a goalless draw at Baobab Stadium.

This Sunday, the battle of the Cities lights up the capital, as Caps United hosts Highlanders at the National Sports while Harare City faces Bulawayo Chiefs at Luveve Stadium, as Tenax will be hosting Herentals at Sakubva Stadium.
