Minister SB Moyo in Addis Ababa for the 33rd AU Summit

MINISTER of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Rtd Lt. Gen Sibusiso Moyo arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia last night to attend the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Assembly of the African Union Commission Summit which will run from the 9th to the 10th of February.
He was received at Bole International Airport by Zimbabwe’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Albert Ranganai Chimbindi and Embassy Staff.
The 33rd Ordinary Session of the Assembly (AU) is being held under the theme “Silencing the Guns: Creating Conducive Conditions for Africa’s Development”.
The initiative of Silencing the Guns is a flagship project of Africa’s Agenda 2063 and aims to achieve a conflict-free Africa, prevent genocide, make peace a reality for all and rid the continent of wars, civil conflicts, gender-based violence, violent conflicts and preventing genocide.
The summit is attended by AU member states, the leadership of the AU Commission and AU organs, the diplomatic corps, representatives of partner organisations.
