In a show of confidence in the ongoing mass vaccination programme, residents of Victoria Falls came out in numbers to get vaccinated during the launch of the second phase of the inoculation programme.

Vice President, General Retired Dr Constantino Chiwenga, who is also the Minister of Health and Child Care was in Victoria Falls this Wednesday inspecting health facilities and vaccination sites in the resort City ahead of the official launch.
All the static and mobile vaccination sites in the city had a huge turnout as residents including youths braved the high temperatures to get the injection.
“We have been waiting for this jab for a long time and now that its here we are grateful, we want things to go back to normal. The jab has been long overdue, vaccination is the way to go,” they said.
The Vice President was impressed by the turnout which ogres well with the objective of achieving herd immunity.
“I am really impressed by the response of the Victoria Falls city residents that have come en mass and this is what we would like to see in every corner of the country. And therefore, our economy will be back on track and the safety of our people will be guaranteed. If we are talking of herd immunity this is what it should be and am impressed everyone is taking part even the youths,” he said.
Mosiatunya, the smoke that thunders, has been taking a COVID-19 induced slumber, hopefully after the city’s mass vaccination, the business will pick up and locals will once again benefit from the natural wonder.
