A 35 year old security guard who allegedly shot dead a ZUPCO conductor in a suspected robbery attempt on Monday this week has been charged with murder.
Allegations are that on Monday this week, Campion Marowa, who was armed with a revolver, boarded a ZUPCO bus and waited for all passengers to disembark before shooting the female conductor on the head.
The court heard that after the incident, he fled the scene and went back to his workplace only to confess to his supervisor the following day.
Marowa who is being charged for contravening the Firearms Act is also facing allegations of stealing 25 litres of diesel from his employer.
He has been remanded in custody to the 30th of this month.
