Man up for brother’s murder

A 29 year old man who allegedly stabbed his younger brother to death over a family dispute has appeared in court on murder charges.

The tragic incident took place in Eastview suburb, after a man allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab his young brother.

29 year old Tinashe Mazemo allegedly had a heated argument with his young brother Nomore before he took a kitchen knife to stab him.

It is alleged that he stabbed him on the back close to the waist.

The court heard that after the gruesome act, Tinashe removed the knife from the wound causing Nomore to bleed profusely leading to his death.

The accused was remanded in custody and advised to apply for bail at the High Court.

Meanwhile, 32 year old Joseph Mapalala has appeared in court on charges of fraud after allegedly faking his credentials before being recruited by the Zimbabwe National Army.

It is alleged that Mapalala faked his age and name before the recruitment.

The court heard that the misrepresentation came to light ten years later after the army carried out an investigation and vetting of its serving members.

He was arrested and charged with fraud.

In another matter, a suspected carjacker who allegedly robbed an unsuspecting taxi driver of his vehicle before dumping him at a bushy in Hatfield has appeared in court.
