Malawian President, Dr Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in Zimbabwe for a two-day official working visit that is expected to see him discuss a number of diplomatic and developmental issues with his Zimbabwean counterpart, President Emmerson Mnangagwa. Accompanied by the First lady, Monica Chakwera, The Malawian President was welcomed at the Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare by his Zimbabwean counterpart His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa, Vice President Retired General Dr Constantino Chiwenga and several Cabinet Ministers. The Malawian leader was honoured with a 21 gun salute during a rousing welcome that saw members of the ruling Zanu PF and Malawian nationals in Zimbabwe gracing the event. The visit by Dr Chakwera is his first as President following his election in June this year.
