SPRINTER Ngoni Makusha has bowed out of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics after finishing a distance seventh in the 100m Round One Heat 6 this Saturday.
Despite a spirited effort, Makusha’s dance at the Tokyo Olympics came to an end, after finishing seventh, clocking 10 minutes.43seconds which was a sharp drop to the time he managed earlier in the preliminary round.
Makusha initially finished first in Heat one of the preliminary round of the Olympics men’s 100m, clocking 10 minutes 32 seconds, and was expected to do better in Round 1, only for him to crumble.
In golf men, Scott Vincent continued to impress.
Going into the final round this Sunday, Vincent is tied 17th and another score of 66 or under will put him in the top ten.
Popularly known as Mhondoro, Scott is the highest ranked African at the Tokyo Olympics
