The Zimbabwe – United States duo won the first set 6-3 but went on to lose the second set by a similar score to set up what would be a thrilling super-tie break.
Lock and King would deliver when it mattered the most as they won the super tie break 10-8 to win the match.
The victory was Benjamin Lock’s first doubles title in a challenger event, exhibiting the great strides that the Zimbabwean is making in his doubles career.
Lock is currently on position 296th on the ATP doubles ranking and performances in Australia are expected to propel him up the ladder.
