ZIMBABWE’S aggressive tourism marketing drive is achieving the desired results after two tourism facilities in Matopos and Victoria Falls won Global awards.

Global Tourism Awards year 2022 named Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge in Victoria Falls as the Global Best Country Lodge, while Amalinda Lodge in Matopos was named among the thirty best swimming pools in Africa by Africa Geographic.

The awards come at a time government and other stakeholders have intensified efforts to market Destination Zimbabwe.

Dzimbahwe Guest Lodge Representative, Judith Dzimbanhete and Sav Stead of Amalinda Lodge are elated after their hard work paid off.

“We are so grateful that that, this is the second time that we are winning this award, last year we got the best family house and this year again, we got the best country lodge, so definitely it means that we are in the right path and our guests are happy because basically for you to get this award, it has to be a feedback from clients, which means that the clients are happy with our service,” said Dzimabanhete.

“We have always known that our pool is special and unique, but to be featured in top thirty pools in Africa I huge for us, a big thank you for our guest for the past two years for helping us creating an awareness how amazing our pool is on the social media, taking photos by it. It has been really great,” noted Stead.
