Story by Lisa Masuku

THE Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education is in Bulawayo for a five-day strategic planning workshop where the focus is on ensuring education programmes are in line with the objectives of the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1).

“We are here in Bulawayo to have our strategic review. This is a review of the programs already in place. We are also doing our curriculum review in line with NDS1,” said the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Honourable Angeline Gata.

Members of the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Primary and Secondary Education are also attending the workshop.

Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Primary and Secondary Education chairperson, Cde Ophius Murambiwa said, “Our role is to monitor budget utilisation and government policies within the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education.”

The strategic review will also identify gaps and achievements as the ministry plans for 2024.
