Klopp spent hour on phone with PSG’ after manager approach

LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp reportedly spent an hour on the phone with Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo Nascimento de Araújo, who sounded him about becoming the next boss at the French giants. According to a report from France, Leonardo wants Klopp to replace current head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Super-rich PSG are dominant in their domestic league, but the club’s bosses want to win the Champions League and Tuchel could be on his way out if he doesn’t achieve that this season. With Liverpool currently at the top of the Premier League, having been crowned champions of Europe last season, Klopp has become arguably the world’s most coveted manager.

Since last season’s Champions League triumph, the German has also added the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup to Liverpool’s trophy cabinet. However, Klopp gave no indication he would be interested in becoming the PSG boss. He extended his contract at Liverpool earlier this month, committing to the Reds until 2024.
