Warriors forward Khama Billiat silenced his critics when he starred in Kaizer Chiefs 1-nil win against Chippa United to inch closer to lifting the ABSA Premiership title.

Zimbabwe international, Khama Billiat made the difference in his side, Kaizer Chiefs’ 1-nil win over 12th placed Chippa United when he found the back of the net in the ninth minute as Amakhosi inched closer to lift the title for the first time in five years.

The Warriors talisman, who is under fire over his poor show on the field of play this season, proved his worth and rose to the occasion where it mattered most for the Soweto based outfit.

Billiat finally found the back of the net for the second time this season after netting his first goal last year in September, to put smiles on Amakhosi faithfuls.

Apart from Billiat, Kaitano Tembo’s SuperSport have climbed to the third position following an impressive 4-1 drubbing of relegation-bound Baroka FC at Bidvest Stadium.

Warriors forward, Kuda Mahachi netted for his SuperSport side in the 75th minute to seal victory for his team.

The club is also home to Warriors forward, Evans Rusike as well as Onismor Bhasera.

At the bottom, it’s not looking good for Zimbabwean trio of George Chigova, Walter Musona and Charlton Mashumba following their side, Polokwane City’s 3-nil loss to title contenders Mamelodi Sundowns.

Polokwane anchor the table with a paltry 25 points after 29 rounds of matches.
