KAS Eupen grant Knowledge Musona opportunity to impress

Football analysts have backed Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona to revive his career in Europe after getting an opportunity to impress Belgian side KAS Eupen.
There was widespread speculation surrounding the future of Warriors Captain, Knowledge Musona after Belgian side Anderlecht made it clear the Zimbabwean is not part of their plans.
Despite being linked with a move to South African side Mamelodi Sundowns, it has emerged Musona is not giving up his European dream with the Smiling Assasin given an opportunity by Belgian topflight side KAS Eupen to impress at their training camp in Qatar.
Musona’s former teammate at Kaizer Chiefs and the Warriors, Thomas Sweswe believes the Smiling Assassin still has what it takes to excel in Europe despite a going through a slump.
“I played with Knowledge at Kaizer Chiefs and at the warriors. He is a very intelligent player and we cannot say that all that has just disappeared overnight. He is a talented player that deserves to be still playing in Europe in my opinion,” he said.
Football commentator, Archie Mundava says South Africa would not be the right move for Musona who needs to remain in Europe and reignite the form that made him a household name at KV Oostende in Belgium.
“Musona has not had the best of times recently just looking at the fact that at Anderlecht he did not enjoy any game time. Despite the slump, I feel he needs to take the opportunity granted to him by KAS Eupen and challenge for a place at the club as opposed to returning to South Africa. Europe remains the place to be,” he said.
With KAS Eupen expected to assess Musona in the next few days the future of the Warriors captain remains shrouded in uncertainty although those close to him believe he will impress the KAS Eupen technical department.
