IYASA promises thrilling uhuru fiesta

RENOWNED Bulawayo-based entertainment group, Inkululeko Yabatsha School of Arts (IYASA), has promised to light up the independence celebrations set for Barbourfields Stadium on the 18th of this month.

The decentralisation of the country’s independence celebrations has come as good news for artists in various parts of the country and IYASA are promising nothing short of a top-notch performance.

“It is actually an opportunity for Bulawayo to tell the cultural story and obviously as IYASA, we will give those in attendance what they are yearning for,” said Innocent Dube, IYASA director.

Sandra Ndebele is also expected to perform at the event with Mzoe 7, Ma9nine and Jeys Marabini part of the cast lined up for the music gala alongside other groups from various parts of the country.

The independence celebrations will begin with a children’s party on Sunday, with the main celebrations penciled for Barbourfields Stadium a day later on the 18th.

The celebrations are being held under the theme: ‘Zim@42, Leaving No one and No Place Behind.’
