GOVERNMENT’S infrastructure development programme has transformed the face of Hwange, with a number of roads being rehabilitated under the devolution programme.
Projects that seek to change people’s lives have been the thrust of the second republic, which seeks to leave no one and no place behind in the development matrix.
A number of projects are being implemented under the devolution programme where funds have also been availed for road rehabilitation in Hwange.
“We rehabilitated this road for ZWL$ 12 million And through Devolution funds again we are then going to build a new market complex for our SME’s here,” said Pastor Ndumiso Mdlalose, CEO – Hwange Local Board.
Emphasis is on ensuring the infrastructure development projects improve people’s lives.
“The second republic wants people’s lives to get better. These projects are for the people and that’s what government is pre-occupied with,” said Honourable Richard Moyo, Matabeleland North Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution.
What is happening in Hwange is a reflection of a number of developmental projects which are taking shape in various parts of the country as Zimbabwe drives towards a middle income society by 2030.
